...Well I downloaded the 12/22 dave & friends show. Tim emailed me
asking if I knew a trader that had the 12/22 show because he proposed to
his girlfriend there. Me being a heartless SOB, I told him to take a long
walk off of a short pier and downloaded it for myself... Just kidding, I
downloaded it and told Tim I'd mail it to him as an engagement present.
...And you guys all think I don't have a heart.

(6:30pm)
There is a "new" update on my nephew's webpage.
Unfortunately it doesn't look like he'll be named "The."
Anyway, it was a fun week hangin out with the proud parents to be.
Hope you guys had a good flight back to Denver.
Tom, I could only find one applet that plays
twixt,
but it's in German and the AI is retarded. ...So maybe I'll start
working on an improved version. The game is open source, so I even
get building blocks to work on. I'll let you all know if I get started
on that. Hope you all had a great Christmas and have a Happy New Year.

(10:30am)
I downloaded Jamison's pull of the 12.17.2003 Madison Square Garden
Dave & Friends show. It's better than Thoma's. I'll trade both
versions of this show, but this is the version that I recommend.
I haven't listened to the whole show, but what I have heard is better,
Especially if you listen to one version, then the other version.
I went to Justin Osborne's annual memorial mass today & saw a couple
people I know. Now it's time to kick back and watch a weekend of football.
2003.12.19:
(12:30pm)
Currently listening to Thoma's pull of the 12.17.2003 Madison Square Garden
Dave & Friends show. Supposedly there's a better pull, but this one
is pretty good if I do say so myself.
2003.12.18:
(11:00am)
O.A.R. Radio
is up again. You can get to it through the web there, or point Winamp to
http://www.oarradio.org:8000.
Nothing new here. Been doing some Christmas shopping the last couple of
days. I mailed out two B&P packages and a trade today. I mailed out
another trade on Monday. It's been a busy week for my CD burner.
I got rid of the links above the "news." I figured that anyone that wanted
the .mp3s already got them, although they are still in the directory.
I also added an Error 404
page incase links are broken. Hope you're
all doing well. Drop me a line sometime and let me know what's up with you
guys. Feel free to post on my
messageboard
if you have anything to say.
(5:30pm)
Many thanks to Jerry for the TOOL and Monte Montgomery shows!
They are up on the Trading Page.

[1] Justin has a working soda machine!
[2] I have the first
Dave Matthews & Friends
show. I started listening to it at half time of the 49er game.
I'll finish listening to it later.
2003.12.07:
(4:10pm)
Well, I'm out of the playoffs. After a four game winning streak, I ended
the season with my lowest scoring outing of the season. Clinton Portis
outscored my whole team by himself. Now I'm rooting for the Yodas to
repeat as champs.
2003.12.05:
(1:30pm)
Beer has been bottled. I let it sit in the keg for 2 weeks this time.
I only put 2 tsp of sugar in each bottle instead of 2 1/2 tsp. Hopefully
it won't be as sweet as last time. I'll let it sit in the bottles for
a couple of weeks before I give it a try, since the other batch tasted
better and better the longer they sat in the bottles.
2003.12.04:
(3:30pm)
Same old, same old around here. Nothing new... I'm pretty dull, huh.
I saw Bad Santa yesterday. That was pretty good. Definitely not a movie
for little kids. I've been playing a lot of Vice City lately. That game
is a lot of fun. Wheee I get to fly a helicopter!! Now I'm trying to be
able to drive the tank around. *evil laugh* Anyway, figured I'd put up
an update even though there isn't really anything new. I'll talk to you
later.

I just finished brewing my second batch of beer... Now it gets to
sit in the closet for a couple weeks before it gets bottled.
After it gets bottled it needs to sit for a couple more weeks and get
carbonated. If all works as planned, it should be ready about Christmastime.
;)

No updates for awhile, so here's one... ...um .....uh.. well..
I listened to the new Outkast album, Speakerboxxx, today.
That's pretty good... Otherwise... Yeah, nothing new or interesting
is going on...
2003.11.13:
(2:40pm)
I downloaded the Matt Nathanson & Howie Day show that I went to...
The Nathanson set was awesome. Howie's set still sucks... I'm listening
to it now. I'm at his solo part of the set.
"Pabst Blue Ribbon is such a fifty cent beer." "In the future people will
be sent to distant lands through beams of PabstBlueRibbon."
I'm also downloading the Nathanson set from the next day to see what
I missed. The setlists are up on my
Tape Trading page.
...Damn my etree downloads are flying today.

i'd post one.

I added a couple more .mp3s to the site that you can download.
One of them is from yesterday's show. All three of those mp3s are
pretty sweet. They are all in the directory.

I finally wrote down the setlists for my Pearl Jam bootlegs that
I bought as a kid. They're now up on my

so I put the setlists for those up too.

Matrix Revolutions was... uh... Ok...
I liked the other two better.
For those that have seen Revolutions and want to read my rant...
EDIT 2003.12.18:
MaTriX ReVoLuTiOnS SucKs!
First off, I'm a huge fan of the first Matrix movie. It was a great
sci-fi movie that made you think. Matrix Reloaded was good, but wasn't
quite up to par with the first. Reloaded had good action scenes and
some juicy nuggets of information to push the plot along, but it was a
bit slow. Sometime I'd like to re-edit the movie by removing some of
the scenes that are worthless, like the orgy in Zion, but that's a
project for another day.
My favorite parts of those movies were always scenes when people were
in the matrix doing things that are physically impossible. The
scene where Neo and Trinity rescue Mopheus is awesome! In the second one,
the burly brawl, freeway chase, and pretty much any other time Neo fights
are all impressive. In Revolutions, the only two fight scenes in
the matrix were the crappy remake of the entrance when Neo and Trinity
rescued Morpheus (the entry to the S&M club) and the remake of
Superman II (Neo vs Agent Smith). Neither one of these can hold a candle
to the scenes I've compared them to.
Random Complaints:
The movie never explained how Neo is able to stop the squiddies at the
end of Reloaded, or how he can stop them now in Revolutions.
Why the fuck is he in the train station between the Real world and
the matrix? How did he get there?
When he is blinded, he suddenly has this magical sight... Why?
Zion was like a videogame... This movie once again proves to me that it
is a lot more fun to play a videogame than to watch one.
TRINITY! JUST FUCKIN DIE ALREADY! You have three steel beams sticking
out of your torso. You'd be dead instantly so shut the hell up!
If the people are smart enough to build hovercrafts and all their other
machines then why do they have a fuckin suit that has their whole body
exposed? If you're standing there strapped to a bunch of metal, you're
gonna die real easily.
If the hovercraft can go above the clouds, why don't they just fly up
above the clouds and nuke the robot city?
Morpheus is a badass, yet he gets shoved into a co-pilot seat for
half of his screen time and does absolutely nothing for the other half.
All the actors other than Neo, Trinity (i'm not gonna call her "Trin"),
and Agent Smith who have any amount of camera time are nobodys that I
don't care about. I didn't watch the Animatrix or play the videogame
(because I heard the game sucked), so I don't know or care about any
of these bit characters that suddenly become important.
How stupid is Neo if he doesn't realize that the crew guy was posessed
by Agent Smith? Who else ever said "Hello Mr. Anderson"?
Who cares about a damn computer program taking the train into the
Matrix? What was the point of that little girl? To make a sunset at
the end of the movie?
I have other complaints, but I'm tired and can't remember any.
I successfully kept myself awake throughout that farce of a movie,
but I'd be much happier and have less complaints if I slept through it.
I would definitely not recommend Matrix Revolutions to anyone
EVER. You like how this review is a little more biased than
the one on the main page ;)

I got a phone call today from
Gold Pocket.
They are based down in Santa Monica. The lady asked me a few questions and
said that she'd pass my resume on to the next set of people who look at
them. If they want me to go interview, they'll let me know in about a week.
I also got a new cell phone today. The phone is a Samsung a310.
I still have the same phone number as before. If you don't have it,

I went running today... I'm so out of shape that I couldn't run a mile

Even Strongbad can run a mile.
I'm gonna see Matrix Revolutions tomorrow night. I'll let you know how it

he said they would consider me as a cashier... I'll find out

Matt entertained the crowd with both the performance and his witty quips
between songs. It was pretty sweet to hear Thunder Road open the show.
The improv song towards the end might have been the highlight of the show,
that was awesome. It's too bad Matt didn't get to play longer and
Howie didn't have a shorter set [cough]preferably solo the whole time[/cough].
Matt pulled out a laminated list of words that can't be said on a New York
Radio Station. It was five columns wide and filled up an entire 8.5x11
sheet of paper. From The List, I liked the trifecta of pecker, peckerhead,
and pecker tracks. "Anyone who leaves pecker tracks is a hero in my book."
Oh and that everyday favorite "Mongolian Clusterfuck" is on there too.
"Clusterfuck isn't on there, so I guess that's OK, but if it's a Mongolian one,
watch out." Cokcsucker was on there, "So I guess if you know how to spell
'cocksucker' it's ok to use."
Howie was ok, nothing great, although I was digging the keys.
His solo songs were the highlight of his set,
"In the future people will be sent to distant lands through
beams of PabstBlueRibbon."
There was a PBR neon light at the back of the place, so almost every song
had some refrence to PBR in it. When the band came back
out after Howie's solo, there was a massive exodus as the
crowd all left. There were probably less people in the crowd
at the end of the concert than there were for the opener.
I thought that Howie & the band did better after Howie's solo
bit than before the solo. Howie needs to go back to touring solo
without the band.

Haven't been any updates for awhile, so here goes... I went sailing on the
Hawaiian Chieftain
this morning with my parents and their friend Doug. It was pretty fun.
If you wanted, you could help the crew with the lines for the sails...
Since I had to wake up at 6:30am so we could drive to Sausolito, I was still
only half awake when we set sail, so I didn't help. :p That would be kinda a
cool job, the only thing wrong is you keep sailing in pretty much the same circle
in the Bay on a daily basis. The ship does go down the coast to San Diego
or over to Hawaii once in awhile, but it would still be a lot of circles in the
Bay...
On Thursday night/Friday morning I went to my friend Justin's apartment for a little
counter-strike LAN action. (yes I know I'm a nerd. flame away.) It's amazing,
I can go about a 10:1 Kill : Death ratio against Justin and Mark on a slow laptop,
yet I can barely get a 1:1 ratio anywhere else on my computer... hrm...
those two must really suck. (that means practice you two) ;)
Next time come over here where I have two good desktops running
cs and a wired network, instead of one desktop, two laptops, and Justin's crappy
wireless network (LAN ping was 20-40ms. That's what I get when I connect to
euphNET
from home.) Mark you'll still need to bring your laptop. :p
Mark
IM
me because I forgot your new screen name.
No new news on the job hunt. :/
I'm going to go see
Howie Day and
Matt Nathanson
on Thursday at
Slim's
in San Francisco. I picked up the new Matt Nathanson album:
"Before These Fireworks" on Tuesday. It has some good songs on it.
There's nothing spectacular, but it's solid the whole way through.
He is similar to a Dave Matthews/John Mayer/Jack Johnson.
(isn't everyone nowadays?)
I'll even go out on a ledge to say that it's about as good as Some Devil.
If you want to give it a listen, you can catch a few of the songs from
it on his webpage. There is a little window that pops up that will
play five of the songs from the album. If you want to invest
a little downloading time, then download one of his shows
from
etree.org.
When he plays live, it's just him on acoustic guitar and Matt Fish on cello.
Nathanson also has a hell of a sense of humor. Between almost every song
He throws in some hillarious anecdotes and witty banter.
That's about it for now... Check my
Other Links
page once in awhile. I put new things there occasionally.
...nothing right now though. I'll try to post a link here if there is
anything new on the links page.

Got back from Tahoe last night. It was a fun trip. We stayed at
Don's house in Tahoe City which is pretty nice. Saturday night we
went to a nice restraunt. Sunday morning Dad and I went to north
shore and played blackjack for an hour. We each won about a hundred
bucks. Nothing too exciting, but it was a fun change from hanging
out in Sunnyvale looking for jobs.
On Friday night, I went to see
Kill Bill. It was a pretty sweet movie.
Not much plot involved, but it made up for that with lots of action
and limb severing.
(6:00pm)
I spent the day listening to and downloading music. I got 3 count em
3 bands that you should give a listen to...
Matt Nathanson,
Howie Day, and
Pseudopod.
Howie Day and Matt Nathanson are touring the west coast together,
check out the west coast dates.
Unfortunately in CO it will only be Howie Day. :/
Pseudopod is also touring the west coast soon, I posted the dates
here.
I also have a concert from each of these guys on my tape trading
page if anyone wants them as a B&P or a trade. You can also
just download them from
etree.org. ;)

Wheee..... I changed all the smilies on the messageboard...
I never liked the original ones. I'm heading to Tahoe tomorrow
morning with my dad. I'll be back home on Monday. Sounds like I'm
gonna go see a movie tonight... I'm planning to take a trip down to
San Diego in January to go see the Dave Matthews & Friends show.
Still no job. Don't know when I'll be in Santa Barbara next. I'm 2-3
in my fantasy league. Currently listening to Wilco concerts & the
new Dave Matthews album, Some Devil. Reading a Robin Cook book... doesn't
matter which one, they're all the same. :/ Nanny moved to a board &
care center which is less care than where she was, but more than
if she were back home. (She fell & broke her hip a month or so ago).
Last but not least, For any who haven't heard yet, I'm gonna be an uncle.
2003.10.08:

I knew it was gonna be a good game, but I didn't expect that.
Too bad I traded away Harrison a couple weeks ago.

I saw The Rundown
yesterday. It was pretty good. Nothing special.
Interesting afternoon of football today. Some close finishes that
were fun to watch... It would be nice if the networks would
keep you a little more up to date on what's going on in the
other games. They will show you a touchdown in some other game
that happened 20 min earlier... show the play shortly after it
happens... Anyway, the 9ers snuck out a win today, and unless
Edge and the TB defense both have big games I'll pull off a win
in my fantasy league. The Monday night game should be a good one.
The line in the Mercury News has Tampa -4 over Indy... I think
Indy should be able to pull that off. If Tampa wins it'll only
be by 3 which won't cover the spread...

random guest postings, but I may turn those off eventually too if they
are "abused." Anyway... time for bed. Zzzzzzzzzz....
(3:00pm)
I just watched I'm Gonna Git You Sucka. That movie is fuckin hillarious.
It's a 1988 movie with Keenan Ivory Wayans that makes fun of movies like
Shaft. It's one of the funniest movies I've seen for awhile. If you haven't
seen it, you should definitely check it out sometime. There are lots of
cameos throughout the movie from Chris Rock as a customer in a rib shack
to KRS-One who plays the theme music for Jack Spade. ...And of course
how could you have a Wayans movie without the the other 9 million Wayans
somewhere in the movie. I was laughing for pretty much the whole movie.
Here's a quote from the movie. Leonard is Damon Wayans, and Willie
is Kadeem Hardison.
Willie: [I] heard you screaming all the way down the alley.
Leonard: I wasn't screaming! Alright?
Willie: Yes you was.
Leonard: I said I wasn't screaming! I was whistling!
Willie: You was what?
Leonard: I was whistling for you!
Willie: You was whistling, "Willie, help, get this bitch off of me"?
(7:30pm)
I just listened to the last 53 min of the
Dave Matthews show in central
park tonight. It was broadcast over the internet, so anyone could give it
a listen. Here's the setlist that I heard:
// Jimi Thing -> For What it's Worth (w/ Warren Haynes)
What Would You Say
Where Are You Going
Intro -> Star Spangled Banner -> Watchtower
Encore:
Grey Street
What You Are
Stay
Everything I heard was pretty good. Too bad I didn't know that this
was on because I missed most of the set. There were a lot of great
songs that were on before I tuned in, like CORTEZ THE KILLER! If you
missed the concert, I believe they are going to release it on cd/dvd
in November, or you can be like me and hope that a taper recorded it
so I can download the show. ;)
(11:30pm)
Why can't girls figure out how to split a bill easily? I went to
dinner with Justin for Sam's birthday. My meal was $9. I split a
pitcher of beer with Justin that cost $10. My meal cost me ~$14. Add in tax,
tip, and some extra for some of the birthday girl's meal and it's
somewhere around $20. I don't know exactly how much it cost. I don't
need to know that "My meal cost $9.20! I only have $9. Does anyone have
20 cents?" That is pretty much a direct quote from one girl at the table.
Don't worry about exactly what you owe and don't forget to add in
money for tax and tip. If it's someone's birthday
feel free to spend a little extra to pay for that person's meal. Even
an extra dollar apiece would work. I'm unemployed and broke and these
people have jobs, some of them multiple jobs... Chip in an extra buck or
two because the boyfriend always has to pick up what's leftover. Isn't
that right Don?
2003.09.23:
(6:00pm)
I picked up the new Dave Matthews album today. On a first listen I think
it's pretty good. It's definitely better than Everyday... but then again
I use Everyday for a coaster. If you do pick up the album, make sure you
get the one with the bonus disc that has 5 songs from the last Dave and
Tim tour. They released two versions of the cd and one has the bonus disc
and the other doesn't. I had to ask the clerk if they had the one with
the bonus disc because all of the ones on the floor were the single disc
version. My only complaint after one listen is that Stay or Leave would be
really good without the annoying:
whicka whicka whicka
whicka whicka whicka
chi chi chi chi chi chi
in the background. It's a good song, but the studio version is
really annoying. There is a live version of it on the second disc that is
much better. Oh and <cough>gravedigger sucks</cough>.
Other than that, I like the album.

Well injuries and my stupidity caused another loss for my fantasy team.
Dillon's injury was huge. He left the game after giving my team 2 points.
Hopefully he'll be back next week otherwise I'll get screwed two weeks
in a row at RB because Tiki Barber has a bye next week. I left in
Northcutt at WR who was questionable at gametime because neither bay
area paper mentioned his injury in their injury reports, so I figured
he was ok to play. WRONG. He didn't play today, so I got 0 points from him.
Two injuries on the roster when the other team has Priest Holmes getting
26 points on his own doesn't help you win the game. Looks like I'll
come in last this week. >:( Here's a preview of next week's power ranking

This squad isn't too bad. The midweek trade for
Dillon and Galloway gave them a breath of life at
the RB position until Dillon went down in the 2nd quarter.
Starting an injured player is a bonehead move that
is easily avoided. The owner needs to learn which
players to start and which players should sit on the bench.
Until that lesson is learned, this team will stay
at the bottom of the barrel.

Well... I decided not to go to the Dead show tonight and save myself $50.
I'll definitely have to check them out the next time they are close by.
It's good to see a couple of friends on the
messageboard. Hopefully that will
be a fairly easy way for people to keep in contact with each other.
I got my car back yesterday afternoon. It costs $110 to roll up a window.
Hopefully that's all the repairs that thing will need for the next few
months so I can find any job that will pay enough for me to
get a new (used) car in the fairly near future.

(12:40pm)
Does anyone else other than me visit this page ever?!? If you do,
go to horaenterprises.com/board,
register, and post something. It will take you 2 minutes to do.
No I don't have a job yet. Yes my fantasy team sucks ass. No I didn't
get my car back from the shop yet. Yes it will cost more to fix the
car than it's worth. No it's not just the window, there are two leaks
in the engine. Yes the new
Perfect Circle album is good.
No I'm not doing anything interesting. Yes I'm really really bored.
No I'm not done complaining yet. Yes I'm done with this update.
2003.09.15:
(3:40pm)
My rear window in my car won't roll up... that means I get to
waste more money on my car... yay. I also made a couple of changes
to the links page. I added a link to a Grateful Dead live archive
for those that are interested.
(4:30pm)
For the Counter-Strike players...
Here are some pics that show my opinion of Steam.
(5:10pm)
Here is a page of thumbnails of Cory & Don's trip to Europe.
(5:50pm)
I added a messageboard lol. The address is
horaenterprises.com/board.
Register your name and post in the test thread. I'll probably
get rid of the test thread later, but go ahead and post there
anyway.
(9:50pm)
Ok, I put up some sample categories. If you think of anything
else that should be listed there, put it in the suggestions
thread. You need to be registered to post everywhere other than
the News category. Please register and let me know that you visit.
I also put a link to the messageboard up on the nav bar.

I just finished installing steam and getting it all to work. This
"final" version of CS 1.6 blows goats!!
It's worse than the first beta version of 1.6. I can't
believe they're gonna ruin CS like this. They're gonna get rid of all
the WON servers and then you will only be able to play CS 1.6...
Why can't they just leave it at 1.5?
If you want you can sign a petition
to ask valve to not upgrade... rofl. I signed it anyway tho.
Oh well, it's almost time to quit CS again. ...I guess I need to get
some kinda new game... hrm... half life 2 is coming out in a week or
so... ;)
Does anyone want to see The Dead Friday night Sept 19? The show
is at Shoreline 7pm. I really want to go, but Mark somehow can't
figure out how to schedule himself off. I know you're thinking,
"He said that about Lallapalloza and he didn't go to that." Well
fuck off... I wanted to go, but I had no money and nobody
to go with. This time I only have... well both of those again,
but I may still go even if nobody else does. I'll just have to find
me a hippie chick to hang out with.
Did anyone see the fight tonight? I want to try to catch the replay.
It sounded pretty good from what I read. I thought it was pretty cool
that Mosley won. I was definitely pulling for him to win. If he lost,
his career would have been pretty much over.
Anyway, I'll see you all later. Have fun.
2003.09.08:
(8:35pm)
Today it felt like it was about finals time around here. I kept
starting to look for jobs on the Internet, but after a couple of
minutes, I'd stop looking and start playing a little cs, or look
at other things online. Only a couple of weeks left until
Half-Life 2 comes out on Sept 30. It's good to see Deuce playing
for Philly tonight. Hopefully he'll get thrown into the starting
linup soon.
(8:45pm)
Damn Jurevicius is having a hell of a game! Did you guys see that
last catch where he tipped the ball!!? That was an incredible catch!
2003.09.07:
(10:35pm)
Well, it was a lousy week for Mr. Ass in fantasy land. Good job Tom,
your Drunken Yodas used the force to beat Mr. Ass into submission.
I need to dump those scrub running backs on my team and pick up some
running backs from waivers that will actually play. Hopefully
Deuce Staley will get some playing time tomorrow. The sooner he starts,
the sooner I might have two decent running backs. I was surprised to
see Fargas getting some play time tonight. Hopefully he'll start
getting more time as the season continues. ...WHAT THE FUCK
HAPPENED TO THE MIAMI DEFENCE?!!? How do you let the Texans
beat you?!! I mean, come on, that was the easiest game this week,
except for maybe the 49ers vs the Bears. How do you blow that game
Miami?! Mo and Mark, I want answers from you two. How does your team
lose to Houston? Oh well, we'll have to see if my team can step it up
a couple notches for next week. Hopefully I'll get a little help from
the waiver wire.
Enough football. I finally got my internet connection fixed, knock on
wood. <knock> </knock> In the ten minutes minutes between
when I installed the DSL software and when I downloaded the patch for
those internet worms, I got one of those worms.
I was getting lousy speeds because my computer was busy infecting
other computers for the last couple weeks.
I'll bet the reason why it worked when I
was talking to tech support was because I just changed the way the
machine connected to the net, so the worm needed to change its settings
to start working again. Anyway the point is: my shit's working now.
Dad and I wired the house with ethernet cables yesterday. I got to go up
in the attic and string wires... yay, fun... not really. Today we put the
connections on the cables and now I get to plug into our network from my
room. Dad's new computer came a couple days ago and now it's set up in the
living room. All I need to do now is load counter-strike on it and then
I'll have cs running on two good computers so we can get a little LAN
action going over here. ;)
For those of you who didn't know... My grandmother, "Nanny," fell down
a couple of days ago and fractured her femur. She's at Stanford hospital
right now and is doing better. For those of you that do pray, please
keep her in your prayers. Hopefully she'll be ok.
That's all for now kids. Have fun.
2003.09.05:
(12:35pm)Not much going on. Here's a quote from Friends for you:
We'll flip for it, ducks or clowns.
Oh, we're gonna flip for the baby!
You got a better idea?
Alright, call it in the air.
Heads.
Heads it is.
Yes!
We have to assign heads to something.
Right. Ok... ok... uh... Ducks is heads because ducks have heads.
What kind of scary-ass clowns came to your birthday!
Heh heh.. I like that quote. Anyway, I saw Anger Management yesterday.
That was a pretty good movie. I'm gonna go to the St. Francis football
game tonight. ...anyway, uh.. yeah. Green.
2003.09.03:
(2:25pm)
Well, I've been playing with my DSL connection for a few hours.
Talked to tech support twice... You know what I came up with...
The DSL only works when I'm on the phone with tech support and
my router isn't plugged in. Then I get a latency of 20ms to the
counter-strike server that's three blocks away... If any of those
conditions aren't met, then I get a ping of about 1000ms. The tech
support guy said that he couldn't do anything for me since it
started working after I disconnected the router. He just suggested
that I call SBC and ask if they can do a line sweep of our phoneline
because we get some static on our phone and our net sux. I hate DSL.
I'll never use it again. Cable modems all the way!
I saw Dickie Roberts Former Child Star,
or as I like to call it: Joe Dirt II, last night. It was pretty funny,
although it's not a movie that I'd want to see over and over again.
It was pretty cool to see a bunch of former child stars years later.
The reason that I'm now calling it Joe Dirt II is because it's theme
and story are similar to those from Joe Dirt. Even though there are
striking similarities to Joe Dirt, Dickie Roberts is worth a watch if
you're a fan of David Spade, or if you just want to watch a funny
movie in the theater in the next couple of weeks. On a thumbs up/down
scale, it gets a definte thumb up. On a scale of one to four stars,
I'd give it a three along with the first Joe Dirt movie.
Movies like Tommy Boy and Caddyshack would be up there at about a four.
OK... that's all I've got. You can go now. I'm already long gone.
...I'm waiting. Go I dare you...
uh...
.......hello?
Anyone there?
...I'm lonely here by myself. I was just kidding.
You can come back to the site...
Damn... They're all gone. ...sniff
2003.09.01:
(12:00am)
So you expect some earth shattering announcement here huh.
You figure that I update so infrequently that when I do it
must be something interesting... Well you're wrong! I haven't
done anything at all since my fantasy draft that left me only
a half decent team. It's definitely not the worst in the league,
but it's certainly not the best team either. I'll have a decent
showing, but it's definitely not as good as last year's team
where I had Ricky Williams and Edge as my backs... Anyway, the
job market in the bay area sucks. Instead of the Soup Nazi, the
bay area is the job nazi, "NO JOB FOR YOU! NEXT!" I haven't heard
anything back from anyone for any job other than automated responses
to my resume submissions.
This stupid web host screws with my pages. I don't like it.
I put in things like & nbsp ; (without the spaces between letters)
and the fuckin thing
takes them out. I don't know why it does that, it's retarded.
THIS IS AN ASCII TEXT FILE... STOP EDITING IT!! Stupid program
converts things like & lt ; into <.
I'm tired of living at home and being broke with no friends.
This is so boring. I can't take it. I need some kind of job to
break up the monotony. ...Also, where are the girls? Do any
(preferably attractive, but the question is any)
girls between the ages of 18-25 live in the bay area? I don't
think so. I've been ranting for awhile, so I guess I'm done...
On the plus side, I finally downloaded the
Dave Matthews Band: 2001-05-18
show at Pac Bell Park that I went to. Hopefully I'll be in a better
mood the next time I post some useless banter here... anyway,
till next time... laters.

(6:30pm)
Updating the page. Adding .txt files for the setlists.
(7:10pm)
Done for today, all of the setlists are uploaded,
but I didn't make links for all of them. I'll finish that
later.

(3:15pm)
Went to San Francisco to see a punk show last night. It was pretty fun.
I saw Yellowcard,
Autopilot Off, and Over It.
On Wednesday night, I saw a sneek preview for the movie
The Fighting Temptations,
with Cuba Gooding Jr, and Beyoncé Knowles... It was ok,
although I wouldn't recommend watching it to anyone else.

Installed DSL last night... cs ping sucks... more later.
2003.08.15:

Saw Freddy v Jason today. It was pretty good.
It was about what you would expect from it. I got my car back
from the shop... cost $630 for absolutely nothing. :( Oh well
sh!t happens...
2003.08.11:
(5:40pm)
Not much going on around here... I'm painting Grams' garage.
Going to a career fair tomorrow at the Santa Clara Convention
Center. ...Anyone want to see Lallapalooza on the 19th at
Shoreline? I want to go, but I don't want to go by myself...
Hopefully DSL is gonna be coming soon... My fantasy draft is
on Wed Aug 27th at 5:00 Pacific. Here are the "official" fantasy rules
that we're using. That's about all the news, or lack thereof,
that I have. Have fun kids.
(6:15pm)
Here's the league's website for anyone that wants to check it out.
Eventually this link will probably make it up to the nav bar, but
I'm too lazy to edit more than one file. :p

Tom uploaded some Yosemite pics in three .zip files. I haven't seen them
yet because I don't want to download them on a 28.8 modem.

I'm Back from Yosemite. :( It was an awesome trip. I hiked up to
the top of Half Dome. The view up there is incredible! That's
definitely the best hike in the park. Pictures will be uploaded
here sometime in the near future. There were about 85 people
in our group of family and friends this year. I think that may
be the largest group yet... Anyway, I'll talk to you all later.
2003.07.17:
(11:45am)
Hey all, I'm off to Yosemite on Saturday July 19, so this
is probably gonna be the last update before I go.
I'll be back in the Bay Area on the 27th. My cell phone sucks
when I'm in my house, so if my phone dies, try giving me a call
at my home phone number: (408)733-3056. I'm gonna head down to
Santa Barbara for the weekend of Aug 1st. I'll see all of you then.
2003.07.15:
(1:30pm)
Well, the Counting Crows/John Mayer show was ok. Counting Crows
were cool, but the crowd was pretty lame for the most part while
the Counting Crows were on. All the little high school girls didn't
care what was going on, they just wanted John Mayer to come out.
John Mayer sucks in concert. He sounds really flat especially after
Counting Crows. Mayer is the first guy that I've left in the middle
of a concert. As soon as he started singing "Your Body is a Wonderland,"
Mark and I took off. What was pretty funny was that after that song was
over, a whole bunch of other people left too, because that was the
third of his radio songs that he played. I thought Maroon 5 put on a
better show than Mayer, and Maroon 5 isn't very good. They didn't even
do their cover of "Closer" by NIN. Maroon 5 played for ~40 min, then
Counting Crows played for ~an hour and a half, then Mayer was out there
for about an hour. Counting Crows should have played last... Oh well...
Anyway, here are the setlists:

Well the Phish show that I went to on Wednesday was pretty good.
There were so many wanna-be hippies there... It was pretty funny.

(10:58am) Hope everyone's doing well.
I got a check from Jerry for deposit. I'm just going to
take the same amount out of everyone's deposit, which is
about $45 or so. I'll start calling you guys next week to
see where I should mail the checks. Anyone want to see Phish
at Shoreline this week? I'm going to go one day, but I'm not
sure if anyone else is going to go. I'm trying to con Mark
into going, but I don't know if he needs to work or not.
Anyway, happy 4th to all of you. I'll talk to you later.

(2:30pm) Well... I'm back in Sunnyvale now.
HoraEnterprises.com
is up now. You can email me at
dave@horaenterprises.com
That's my new email address. Although my Umail account: dhora@umail.ucsb.edu
will still be around for about a year.
This is just a quick update to get the page running on it's new home.
Nothing new other than my new nav bar and the address. This one
is a little easier to remember, huh. ;)
