I'm trying to come up with my pick for Game Of The Year. If I only counted games that were new to me this year, my pick for GOTY would be Braid. However, Braid came out in 2008 (Xbox 360) / 2009 (PC) so it's not an appropriate choice. There are still a few months left and I haven't played some quality titles like Battlefield 3 or Arkham City yet, but currently my frontrunner for GOTY 2011 is The Binding of Isaac.

I keep forgetting to do this, so I'm going to post it now. Here are my Game of the Year picks for the last two years. The links take you to their pages on Steam.
2009: Batman Arkham Asylum
2010: Super Meat Boy
Batman Arkham Asylum is on sale at the moment for $7.49, so if you happen to see this today, go buy it. I think anyone who likes games will find something in Batman to enjoy. You should only get Super Meat Boy if you like HARD games.

I posted some new setlists and removed some dead links from the tape trading and links pages.
I don't think I posted this video before. Here's a video of me climbing the Presidential Traverse in Yosemite last year.

Looks like I deleted my post from last year that talked about large file uploads in IIS 7.
Here's a quick summary of the old post. This example lets you upload a 50MB file with a timeout of 10 minutes.

You need to set the timeout and max request length in the System.web part of the web.config file.
<system.web>
        <httpRuntime executionTimeout="600" maxRequestLength="51200"/>
</system.web>
maxRequestLength is in KB
executionTimeout is in Seconds

By default in IIS, the max content length is 30MB so we need to change the web.config file in another spot.
<system.webServer>
        <security>
                <requestFiltering>
                        <requestLimits maxAllowedContentLength="52428800" />
                </requestFiltering>
        </security>
</system.webServer>
maxAllowedContentLength is in Bytes

By default in IIS, the server timeout is 2 minutes, so we need to increase that time as well.
In IIS manager, Right click Website > Manage Website... > Advanced > Connection Limits > Connection Time-out (seconds)

2011-01-01 Happy New Year!
